this is the liftmaster brand, which is what I use and I think homedepot sells Chamberlain Model # CLLAD, which is similar for 15 dollars.

hi, after about 3-4 weeks with no issues, this is the first time that when i start vera i got an error message “LiftMasterOpener:Authorization Failed”, and at the bottom of the device “MyQGateway”, it says Lua Startup Failure, and the last update was was Sunday, yesterday at 17:28. did anybody got this same error message? thanks.
EDIT: never mind, i click "reload"and the error messages disappeared
Sorry if this is a newbie question. Has anyone used the open or close action in the plug in to trigger other activities? ie can I turn on lights or change thermostat if after sunset and garage door opens? Even if it is opened from a car remote control and not through Vera?

@macrho: Any plan to submit this plug in to the market place in the near future? It’s working great for me but because I have an OEM’ed version of VeraLite, doing the SSH and all that is not as straight forward for me. If I get it through market place I can then get all the nice icons and everything.
Nonetheless, this is a very cool plug-in and I am very grateful that you took the initiative to help all of us MyQ GDO owners out there!

I’m still having an issue with my plugin as it appears to crash after a couple of days running and I cannot find info in my log files as to what has happened. So I’ve kind of hit a brick wall here.

Dont know the answer. it’s been working for me with just minor issues; couple of times it didnt update - when i reload vera, it fixed it.

I think my issue is that my Vera not longer does an auto-heal or reload each night
I should see how I re-enable that (support shut it off)
Great plugin!!! The response when closing and opening the garage door is much quicker than using the Liftmaster myQ app. I created a scene that opens the garage door and turns on the garage lights and a second scene that closes the garage door and turns off the garage lights. Then added both scenes to HomeWave. Works great. Thanks.

Still working well for me too–no hiccups at all. I’m still new to all of this, but the ability to easily integrate MyQ was awesome. Thanks for all of your work! I would say put it in the app store. 
I just wanted to say thanks for creating this great plug-in. Just installed it and it seems to be working fine. I had recently upgraded one of my garage door openers to this MyQ unit, and was thoroughly annoyed that I couldn’t control it from Vera (my other garage door I had added a garage sensor and relay trigger).
This approach is much cleaner. Nice work! I’d be happy to send a little donation for your effort as I would have paid a few bucks for this “app”. If interested, PM me with Paypal or the like.

Great plugin! Can’t wait for Android Wear to arrive so I can try this from my watch ;D
Installed plugin and tried with my Craftsman assurelink opener.
Result - LUA startup failure due to credentials.
Modified L_MyQGateway.lua. local BASE_URL to point to https://assurelink.craftsman.com/ instead.
Result - Lua startup failure but no credentials issue
This is what the the LuaUpnp log states. Which is weird as I did not modify that file. Even grabbing it from teh ZIp file and uploading it to Vera again produced the same error:

I checked the Assurelink page and it looks like they are using the MyQ system. It looks like what is needed may jut be some changes to the above file to get the correct URL’s for Craftsman. I can provide the whole page source of my Assurelink login if needed.
My notifications for the garage door, although sent by 'craftsman@customerservice.sears.com originate from elmlp01.chamberlain.com and are sent via Chamberlain’s SMTP server (smtp.chamberlaingroup.com) indicating even more that Sears is using the Chamberlain MyQ site.
MyLiftmaster.com let me create an account but does not like my gateway.

thanks for the kind words, I was just trying to see if I could actually create a plugin – it still needs a bit of work. No need for any cash, just happy to see it working for people.
Also, I couldn’t have made a somewhat operational plugin without the help of people in this forum. So, it’s not just me

The code where it is failing is where it tries to find the children devices (e.g. the actual openers)
I’m assuming once the parent device is created, there are no children created?

Can you try stepping through some of the URLs (making appropriate changes for address) and see if you can get anywhere?
