OK kornev. I am now using the 1.3 version and same result, Authorization failed. I tried with IE 11.0.15 and with Firefox 34.0.5 with the same results.
Did you input the correct opener brand? as LiftMaster/Chamberlain uses a slightly different URL than Craftsman. Even though all go via the same backend and use more or less the same code.
Also, which MyQ opener do you have? The classic one that has a seperate gateway that connects via wired ethernet or the new one that is just the one box in the garage and connects wirelessly?
I would not put it past Liftmaster to use a different ID string for the new model to cause trouble for 3rd party developers of plugins and apps like this.
I am preparing what will now be version 1.5 for release.
The code is finished, but I just want to run a test installation form the mios app store myself and make sure it goes as expected prior to requesting an official release. I’ll be able to try that later today / tonight.
Once version 1.5 is released, give that a go. If you’re still not having any luck I can try and work with you to resolve it.
BOFH
I have the wired gateway Chamberlain model CIGBU which came with a kit from HD. It all works via their websites - either mychamberlain.com or myliftmaster.com even though I set things up from mychamberlain. I can log into either with the same credentials. I have tried modifying the xml to use the mychamberlain website and it’s the same result. As far as brand goes, I use Chamberlain. This may or may not be correct, how would I know? It’s not something I have to enter with the Chamberlain products (e.g., iOS app which also works fine).
kornev said he was able to repro the problem as an encoding issue so I was hoping he ran that down.
Thanks

I have the model that connects wirelessly and broadcasts its own MyQ-FE2 SSID. So the garage opens both with the MyQ app and this plugin just fine. I have a Chamberlain garage motor and selected everything correctly including the purple learn button. I just couldn’t find documentation even after doing internet searches on that light. All I get is information about the remote light which I believe is a separate physical piece. On mine, the light is part of the wireless component. Hope that clarifies.
My installation test of 1.5 was successful, so I have just submitted it for approval. Now that the holiday break is over, they appear to be turning around approvals quickly.
I beta tested 1.5 too. Seems to be pretty stable.
Also that new MyQ config page is really awesome and should hopefully solve all the configuration issues some users are having.
The light referenced for MyQ is not the light on the garage door opener. It’s a separate module such as the ones in below Fleabay auctions that you can use to eg switch on a light in the house when you get home.

I assume your model is like this one:
http://www.chamberlain.com/smartphone-control-products/myq-garage/model-myq-g0201
It is not clear to me if the light on that unit is considered a “lighting device” similar to what BOFH pointed out. (Those devices will be controllable with Vera app version 1.5). If your official myQ phone app allows you to turn that light on and off separately from the garage door, then there’s a chance that you will be able to do the same with version 1.5 of the Vera app. If your phone app does not allow you to turn the light on and off, then you will probably not be able to control it from Vera either.
To the best of my knowledge, that’s not a light but a strobe to go with the beeper to warn the door is closing.
I have no need to buy another GDO. My current one is controlled via both the MyQ plugin and the GDC1 opener already.

Yes that is the correct device. Ok, can’t wait then for the 1.5 unveiling. I’ll let you know. No biggie if not but I’ll try to comb the internets again and find out what its deal is either way. My buddy has a similar model but with the wall mounted button clicker/motion sensor and his light goes on but obviously different model/features.
Thanks!

I see, I think you are right. Kind of silly for that but oh well. I have the regular garage motor and lights in the garage I just hate wasted functionality.
Ahhh…makes sense since that unit does not have access to the main garage door light!
It’s actually not that silly when you think about it. If you close the door remotely, the system needs to “warn” anyone in / near the garage that the door is about to close. There needs to be both audible and visual cues. the other type of Myq model interfaces directly with the garage door opener and can interact with the light…so it uses the regular garage door light as the “warning strobe.”

Right and that’s fine but after the garage door closes (strobe/audible sound) why not leave the light on for a few minutes like a regular garage door light would?
Also, only mentioning that the strobe and audio sound don’t work through the plugin, only using the MyQ app. Not a problem for me because I have live video into my garage but just letting you know.
I have set to auto update, but it still shows 1.3. How and when does the update happen or should I uninstall and reinstall.
That’s interesting…maybe we can figure that out together…(to get the warning signals working.) There’s nothing inherent in the 1.5 update that would make it work if it’s not already…and that’s a fairly important safety issue IMO.

I will help in any manner I can!
I have submitted 1.5 to the app store for approval, but it is not officially available yet. Hopefully, it will just be a day or two. kornev or I will post in this thread once it becomes available for download from the store.
