Awesome news here… look at all the companies getting into z-wave and home automation:
For me, the huge news is Bosch… I own dozens of their products, from power tools to dishwasher. They know how to innovate and engineer a product.

Interesting…
The new controllers will extend the product line started in November 2014 with the introduction of the VeraEdge. The new controllers, the VeraPlus and the VeraSecure, will add multiple radios and additional security features.

My advice, don’t hold your breath. They were late releasing UI7 by almost 6 months and it’s clear it wasn’t even ready then and filled with major bugs (still is).
They say 2nd qtr 2015? Think 2016

There is the link to the article. About. Vera.
Lies!
I beg to differ, they have their top men working on it
Vera is a supplier to Bosch so “a grain of salt” will be required. The new controllers---- one of these was announced 2 years ago at CES. Do we really expect UI7 to stabilize in 6 months?
Really? Well, there goes my hopes…
Sorry if I rained on the parade but I have spent the morning working on my Vera Edge with UI7 and feel that I am doing the regression testing for them because I am definitely regressing. Less is now working than when I started and I have only 22 devices in it.
Yup, it’s why many of us experienced Vera users refused to go to UI7, we know the pattern/history of how MCV executes.
A Stack Box arrives today and at least I know what I am getting into.
Nice, please keep us informed. It looks extremely promising, now that there’s actual hardware shipping.

Same here. This seems to be a work in progress, but they seem responsive enough. Lets hope for the best.
Any news about the new controllers at the CES or is it still dreams ?
I have seen something about two new “services” for a monthly fee (witch I do not want to pay fore).
Do they have proto types, after all they ekspect them out in the 2.q of 15 ???
See
Before anyone gets carried away and drifts off into some fantasy… Micasaverde “provided” prototypes for Vera Pro and Vera Plus at CES2013. That’s two years ago!
Just because they say Real Soon[sup]TM[/sup] doesn’t mean it will happen soon or even ever.
And… For us in Oz, the haven’t got any chance. I am not being pessimistic but we are always down under.
Sounds really good:
“The VeraPlus and VeraSecure feature natively chipsets ZigBee , Bluetooth and 433MHz in addition to the Z-Wave Plus, which makes the box automation multi-protocol!”
“The VeraSecure, as its name suggests is security since incorporates battery backup and a cellular connection to keep it powered up and connected in case of power failure and / or the Internet. In addition, it is equipped with a built-in siren, and a microphone and speaker for two-way audio communication.”
“These two new box automation are expected in June and the advertised rates are $ 299 for the VeraPlus and $ 399 for the VeraSecure.”
Those new devices look nice. I’m curious as to what the specs are (more memory perhaps?)
Extract:
Both show the same characteristics as their eldest in terms of connectivity, Wi-Fi and Z-Wave Plus, but have a more powerful processor (880MHz against 600MHz MIPS Dual Core SoC).
Implies the same as Vera Edge, other than CPU, so it is wait and see when the offical info is released.
