I’ve just finished wiring z-wave lighting and fan controls for my master bedroom ceiling fan (VRE06 for lights, and VPF01 for the fan). I’ve noticed that with the lights off and the fan on high I get a audible hum/buzz from all of the lights and the lights are warm to the touch. If I turn the fan down to medium or low, or turn the lights on the noise goes away.
I’ve had the same setup on an identical fan in my living room for several months with no issues, with the exception of a VRF01 fan controller in that room.
Any suggestions on where I might’ve gone wrong? I don’t believe the VRF01/VPF01 should really make a difference in this scenario.
On the switch side I have the line and load neutral and the two white leads from the switches together in a wire nut, same with the ground. Line hot wire and the two black leads together. Red lead from the VRE06 with the load wire for the lights, red lead from the VP01 with the load wire for the fan.
