Oregon scientific and other brands seems to be using (in Europe at least) 868 Mhz for their modern products, same as the Vera. There is products to capture 433Mhz thermometer data to your Vera like http://www.rfxcom.com/transceivers.htm. Is there any things available that can do the same for the 868Mhz weather stations / thermometers?
Hi HouseBot
How did your investigations go?
I assume to work within this range we would need a transceiver that can handle the frequency and also understand the protocols being used. I have added the RFXrtx433 to my set up to give me options but for Vera to be a true/versatile controller, supporting a range of technologies would add to its appeal.
I like the look of the Honeywell Evohome wireless product range which also run on 868Mhz
Still on square one…
Might be worth a conversation with Bert at RFXCOM
Seems they do an 868Mhz currently for the visonic systems
