Can't match yale real living lock with veralite - please help

it will work more smoothly if vera was near the lock (at least until it configures)

I did. Unfortunately when I get to step 3 the lock won’t allow me to press 1. The only option I have is 3.

II. Do the include procedure on the door lock:

  1. Enter the 4-8 digit Master PIN code followed by the # key
  2. Press 7 followed by the # key. (*This function appears only with network module installed)
  3. Press 1 followed by the # key to include the door lock.

Do I need to reset the lock? If so what is the process?

the lock doesn’t allow you to press 1, this means it thinks it’s already “included”; so you need to exclude first then include. No need for reset for now.

in the link above just follow the instructions for “Deleting/Removing the door lock from a Z-Wave network”… almost simialr to steps for adding the lock, but Vera has to be in “exclude” mode, and at the end you press 3 instead of 1.

if it’s removed successfully, try going thru the add steps …

Got it! That worked!

However now I get the following message.

Failed at: Setting special association

Like cap jay suggested, give Vera and the lock some time to configure properly, and the error message will go away. I had the same error after I added my Yale Real Living lock to my Vera Lite and by the end of the day, it went away after the two were fully configured on their own. It is truly an awesome lock and has worked flawlessly for me so far.

I gave it some time and still got the same message.

Just excluded and included the device again. Still getting same message.

Any additional thoughts?

how far is Vera from the lock? keep them close during the configuration time.

It is right next to vera.

Are there any special settings (or advance settings) that I need to know?

Hello. I am having trouble pairing my Yale locks to a new Vera device. The original device paired to the locks was damaged and inaccessible. I, too, only get the #3 option when I log into the wireless menu on the lock itself. I have already tried to reset the door lock to factor settings both with and without the z-wave module inserted.

Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

exclude from Vera and add again. If it tries to “configure” give it some time. It would work smoother if Vera is near the lock. remember to follow instructions here when including / excluding: http://docs5.mios.com/doc.php?language=1&manual=1&platform=3Lite&page=yale_door_lock

thanks, was getting only the “3” option and putting vera in “exclude” mode then pushing “3” and then was finally able to get the “1” to register
