Can't check firmware?

When I try this is the message I get.

What’s 1.0.0? What does invalid platform mean?

Anyone? I’m assuming that this isn’t the normal state for Vera to be in.
Should I contact support? I guess it isn’t really an issue ATM since there hasn’t be a release of a new FW but there will be at some point.

Try to install the latest version by copying and pasting the link below into the custom MiOS firmware box:

http://download.mios.com/backfirebetafirmware/wl500gP_Luup_ui4-1.1.1245-1.squashfs

This is the V2 version and will not work for a V1. If you have a V1 then I’ll find the link for it.

Is this for a beat firmware? On the whole Vera has been working for me so I’m not sure I want to tinker with a beta that may be unstable.
And this is a Vera 2 BTW.

I had that happen to a couple units I was updating. Something went wrong with the firmware update. In that box on the screen you posted, enter this and update manually again;

BTW, I had to do it a couple of times for it to take on those units I was having an issue with.

This is the only reference I can find about this problem.
I think you should go with Strangely’s advice.

OK. It’s upgrading as I type this. Do I need to update the dongle firmware also? I haven’t really been following the beta status.

EDIT: It says "Startup Lua failed!

EDIT 2: FWIW I never got the message saying the process had finished. I manually unplugged the unit after about 25 minutes. I’m trying it again now.

Hopefully it came back alive for you!

Your choice about the 3.20 firmware as there is some risk with moving to it! If you can get it up and running, then the performance benefits are worthwhile.

I have tried to install the FW two more times and power cycled the device three times and it still says [7]: Startup Lua Failed. Oddly all of my Luup scripts seem to be working. Do I need to worry about this?

What device is 7?

Haaaaa. So that’s what the 7 means. It is the DAD device. Oddly enough, when I woke up this morning the warning message was no longer there. Go figure.

@S-F,

I’m quite sure that your problem was related to http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=5466.msg39246#msg39246 (USNO AA was down).

Yeah! Must have been. It’s odd though that it coincided with my upgrading the firmware.

Thanks for the heads up Ap15e
