Can't add evolve light switch to group 2

I have two LSM-15 switches and one LTM-5 auxiliary. I already have the LTM-5 switch setup with group 1 so that one tap up/down turns on/off one of the LSM-15 switches. I wanted to add the second LSM-15 switch to group 2 so that two taps up/down turns it on/off. However, when I try and add the second switch to group 2, the association programming fails on the LTM-5. Am I missing something here?
