Can't access vera using http commands

Hi

I’m new to Vera (just got mine last week). I’ve read through some of the past posts but haven’t found a resolution to the problem I’m having. The problem is, the vera doesn’t seem to be responding to any http commands. I can communicate with the vera fine through the web interface, but using a browser to send any of the direct http commands such as

http://192.168.5.130:49451/data_request?id=user_data&output_format=xml

(where 192.168.5.130 is the address I’m entering to get me to the web interface of the vera)

In firefox this gives me:

"Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.5.130:49451."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

New Vera’s ship with the “Production” release (1.0.6xx) of Software.

The URL/Syntax you’ve listed is for the Luup/Beta releases. If you’re willing to venture into the Beta releases, then 1.0.979 is the latest posted release, you’ll see it here in the official announcements section:

For most, this is quite a stable release although, like anything, it is a Beta so there may be quirks :wink:

Problem fixed. I needed to upgrade the vera firmware.
