Cannot remove old devices

I’ve tried it from the UI. I’ve tried it with http commands. It says the device will be deleted, but it never disappears. I can’t unpair it (switch died). Is there anyway to remove devices you no longer have?

Have you tried rebooting Vera?

I’ve got the same problem. many reboots later they are still there.
I think the only definitive way is to allow remote support and ask Vera support to delete the device ID’s you specify. I have just haven’t gotten around to that yet.

If you’ve tried reboots and it doesn’t work, then you might try the following URL.

http://VerasIPAddress:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=999

The http command does not work for me. Device never is removed.

Contact support.

Is this a Z-Wave device, or is this something else.

Z-wave switches.

I was having similar experience with a CT30 thermostat when I had to replace the USNAP module.

My old device paired with the old USNAP could not be detected but the new device paired with the new USNAP was mostly working. But I could not delete the old device.

After a few days, I removed the old thermostat using http, and it finally disappeared. But it broke the new device. So tried deleting the new device, even using http, and resetting the thermostat. Nothing would work. I tried added another new device but then I had 2 nonworking thermostat devices.

Kept at it and it finally settled down to a single, mostly working device. But the new device does not show battery status nor accurately report fan status. Since it took a few hours getting it to mostly work , I am waiting until I have a block of time to try to exclude and include it to fix the 2 minor issues.

Sometimes I wonder how much of this is the Z-wave technology, the z-wave chip, or the Vera firmware. Z-wave seems really finicky. I still have door sensors that Vera reports cannot be detected but function just fine.
