Can you reassign devices to another room without excluding / including them?

I’d like to move two child devices to a room called “Z - DO NOT USE” so they do not appear in the same room as the parent in the Vera Mobile app. I think the switch can be controlled using only the parent device, and I don’t want the Vera Mobile app to be cluttered with useless child devices.

When I try to do this in the UI5, it appears to allow the change, I confirm, and SAVE it, but the devices still appear in the old room, even after refreshing the web page.

By the way, can someone point me to a written explanation of the relationship between parent and child devices? The specific device is the CA3750.

p.s. I can’t figure out how to create a signature block, so here is my draft: Vera Lite 1.5.408, one GE 45604 outdoor switch, two Intermatic HA01 receptacles, one Intermatic CA3750, and, one GE 45609 light switch.

Child devices can not be moved to a different room from the parent. They will always follow the parent.

RLKinMD - you set up your signature line in the ‘Profile’ menu at the top of the page in the ‘Forum Profile’ submenu.

garrettwp - thanks. I will stop trying to figure it out.

akbooer - There must be a probation period for new users, because the only options I have under profile are summary and account settings, and neither of these have forum profile as a sub-submenu.
