Can Plugins Be Turned Off Without Having to Uninstall?

I have been having severe stability issues with my Vera 3. The Lua engine crashes and stops after about 25 hrs of operation. The MCV tech support suspects I am having issues with my one or more of my plugins. (I don’t believe this since for 6 months with the same plugins I have had no problems). But…the techs have had me uninstall one plugin after another to locate which one may be the issue. I believe the techs are just guessing becuuse after each uninstall the problem remains. So I don’t want to continue to uninstall plugins one by one…my question is can I stop the plugin actions en mass? Is there a software switch I can set that will halt all plugins from functioning without having to uninstall? I realize some pluins have built in off switches but I am looking for something that’s global.

I have a Vera 3 on UI6.

Unfortunately no. You will have to remove the plug-in for it to stop functioning.

You can probably disable a plugin in way that’s easy to recover.

In the ADVANCED tab for a device:

For the device_file add a “-” to the end of the file name.

Same for the implementation file if defined.

You will get startup LUA problems with these devices … but you can restore them by deleting this (these) characters.

Basically you are changing the file names to non existent files.
