Can Door sensors trigger Alarm Chime?

Hi,

I bought a DSC PC1832 alarm kit, as well as a bunch of Z-wave equipment. I’ve been trying to find out if its possible to have my Z-wave door senors trigger the Alarms Chime using the plugin.
I’ve seen things mentioned like PLEG or PMG but would like to know if its possible before going down the wrong path.

Its possible … you can send a PRM command to the DSC panel to control a DSC output to trigger your door chime.
It will be some work … you will need to learn how to connect the DSC output to the chime as well as how to program the PRM output.

That’s fine I don’t mind learning how to do that but do you mean I can use the same bell that’s hooked up to the “BELL” and “AUX” connections or do I need to go out and by a separate Chime to hook up to the PgM outputs?

You can hook up a relay to the PGM output and use an existing or new chime.
