can an android tablet act as an orbitor?

Hi everyone,

Can a Google nexus 7 act as a control module while inside without internet connection?
Also, is there an official app for for android?

Thanks

You can use the nexus 7 inside the home as long as it is connected to the local network. It does not require network access.

Here are some apps for the android plateform:

HomeBuddy
ZHouse
Vera Mobile
AutHomationHD (my app)

Yes, there will be a wireless router at home but no internet.

So, the apps work in offline mode as well?

Thanks

Most if not all. Mine will require only the ip address of the Vera unit. I believe others are similar.

So, you are saying that MiOS login is only for over internet access?

Thanks again for your feedback.

That is correct and is not mandatory for remote access either.

Garrett,

Can i contract you to remotley connect cameras and get my Sclage lock connected to my era3 for me as im new and cant get a thing to work on this any help would be appreciated Regards Russell

The standard browser also will work well [although, if like mobile safari, you will see a markedly different interface than on a desktop].

If you don’t have internet, don’t require login to access it from the local network

Just curious how this turned out, I’ve considered the same thing to pay for a tutor, if u may, since a lot of convo here is very gibberish to me.
