Camera recording when Motion Sensors not armed

Just noticed something when I went to see the new, faster (much faster, thx!) camera image viewer.

Every hour I am in the house, there are pictures being archived. This is not what I expected.

I went and checked the camera settings, and it is set to:

  • Archive a photo whenever the following sensors are tripped or doors are opened:
  • And after the sensor(s) are tripped archive the video for 10 seconds.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to take the pictures and archive them when an ARMED sensor is tripped. I don’t know if this has changed, as I couldn’t really view the images before.

There should be a setting that allows you to take pictures and archive X seconds when the motion sensors are armed. Otherwise, this setting isn’t very useful.

Has anyone been able to set this up, triggered by armed sensors?

.//A.

ping! any resolution on this?

bump!

Not a solution to this yet? I also really misses the function to archive photos ONLY when the sensor is in armed state.

Bumping my own bump

Still no solution yet I guess… Is there any ugly workaround to get a camera to only archive photos when the sensor is in armed state?

Hello guys,

does anyone have a solution for mentioned problem? I too would like my cameras to only take pictures when armed sensor is tripped… otherwise I am getting 500+ pics from each camera every day.

Thank you for suggestions.

Iztok

+1 vote for this feature also!
I asked for this feature long time ago in a thread far, far away. Now I see why I did not get any answer…

Well, this feature is good! ABCPEAK

+1 more

I guess it did not happen…

Actually it has been added. When you select a security sensor in the camera’s Settings tab two radio buttons appear after the sensor’s name.

Thank You Very Much! Now it seems to work!
