I have a bunch of Z-wave devices that are in excess of my needs, or have been replaced with newer devices that fit our needs better, that I will give away to someone in Calgary area that is into Home Automation. PM me if you want it.
PM’d!
Hope someone local to me does this lol
Good on you
Will definitely have some extra Intermatic HomeSettings HA07C Zwave Master Remote Controllers from the above deal.
If you need one and are in Calgary, PM me
I’m a small walk and swim away… In Scotland lol
I’ve PM’d as well. Open to anything you might have.
I have tall the above stuff now. Still figuring out what I can use, but will, have som extra stuff for sure.
I’m open to anything you might not want if it’s just going to collect dust.
It’s only a short swim.
The long swim is to far, but I’m interested in why you dumped Z-Wave (you didn’t specifically mention Vera) and what you have found that is superior?
I didn’t dump z-wave at all. These items were displaced by better ways and newer devices. I leverage vera for all my HA requirements. I keep looking at new controllers but they don’t meet my requirements. Have automated all electric circuits using 2 Brultech Gems and a Dashbox, z-wave for all lights and plugs, blinds, irrigation, Garage doors, Carrier furnace, door locks, water sensors and valves and 20 cams/motion sensors via BlueIris and Vera. All told about 180 nodes/devices with new ideas occurring all the time.
I have tried smartthings, wemo, Phillips Hue and stackbox plus some alpha developing software and rejected them all because of the flexibility of Vera. Started with Vera2 in 2009 went to Vera3 now on a VeraEdge and waiting for delivery of a Veraplus. There have been some challenges along the way but all are resolved with the help of this forum and the aid of some members who volunteered their assistance. Overall the journey has been interesting and fun and has kept an aging wetware processor active.
Stack box … What a disappointment. They seemed so enthusiastic and with it, the hardware was close to being delivered on time, and then it just fell apart. I wonder if their company internal priorities changed. After that user experience, I would never buy a popcorn hour box.

Wanted to say a great big thanks to Stefhelm and ehilllis for the Z-Wave gear. Truly awesome people to do this. I’ll put the items I got to good use and if anything is left over will pass on the favor!
