CA8900 t-stat is no shutting off

I have a CA8900 Z-Wave Thermostat that controls 2 relays that control baseboard heaters in my cabin. I have the line t-stat set at 70 as a stop-gap for malfunction - I also have a 3in1 sensor to verify the temperature. Well, when I am not at the cabin I set the CA8900 at 50 degrees. On 2 different occasions, I have checked in on things and have noticed that the temp in the cabin is 69 or 70 degrees - even though the set point is showing: 50 degrees with the heat On. So, the first time, I remotely shut off the CA8900 and then restarted it once the temp dropped…this time, nothing will reset it…is the issue a defective CA8900? Why does it continue to send a call for heat to the relays? Thanks.

Ok…I may have other issues…was staring at the dashboard this morning and noticed that “transmit was ok” would appear below the Thermostat device - even though I did not change the options for this device. It happened every 2 or 3 minutes. I didn’t notice it before…but it may be normal. Any advice? Thank you.

Do you have any scene that controls the thermostat?

I have 2 scenes that control the z wave t-stat

Maybe you have an event or a timer that makes a scene run more often than it should? Other than that you should contact Tech Support so they can have a look at your logs to find what’s going on.
