Bye Intermatic

What happened here?

I was depending a great deal on Intermatic products, especially the 3750 220w switch. Does anyone know of another 220w outdoor switch?

I had heard that cooper may take over that product.
I too hope it is not lost.

WD stuff looks very familiar, isn’t it

Yes it’s the same.
For now at least.

I’d also been contemplating purchase of that switch to control a pool timer. Found a dealer that has one left, so I grabbed one, but I would feel much better if someone took over this product.

I hope there will be 1-2 dealers that see the wisdom of keeping Z-wave alive. [/quote]

Intermatic stuff was known for two things: price and availability.
The problem with WD is that that those two things don’t seem to be their priority…

I spoke to WD rep last week and they actually co-developed the Home Settings brand with Intermatic.

They acquired everything from Intermatic and are planning to develop even more modules (Universal module as well as dry contact -similar to X10’s UM506 and X10’s Powerflash module). The only bad news is that given the current economic downturn they are postponing the release to next year (at least that’s what he told me).

I hope they keep the pricing low and bring new modules as soon as possible.

It’s not outdoor rated. This is the closest I could find for a 220V switch.

Not very elegant at all. I like the 3750 too. I was thinking of getting another one when I saw here that it is no longer available. Dang.
