Buttons for Controlling AV Devices using Itach WF2IR

Hello,

Complete newbie here so bear with me if the answers are obvious. I’ve been searching the forums for a while but cannot seem to find an answer.

I recently got a Veralite and just set up a 3 AV appliances (A Samsung TV, A Tivo box and speakers) all controlled by the Itach WF2IR device, using instructions from this thread [url=http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,12857.0.html]http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,12857.0.html[/url].

All the codes work when I test them using http://VERAs_IP_address:3480/data_request?id=lu_invoke, however the devices in the Veralite interface do not have any buttons, so I have no way of controlling them… aside from using the invoke url.

Is there some sort of way for creating buttons or a remote of some sort to control these devices?

This does not create buttons. What this essentially does is allows you to create scenes and in the advance tab of the scene, you can select your Samsung, Tivo, etc and have it perform an action. If you want to have buttons for UI control on Vera, you will need to get started with plugin development and create the remaining plugin files D_XXX.json with the UI elements and their respective controls.
