Not sure if there’s an official bug thread or not but I wanted to bring this to attention in case it’s not currently known.
Environment:
iPhone 5 (iOS 7 and homewave 1.7)
iPhone 5 (iOS 7 and homewave 1.7)
iPad 2 (iOS 6 and homewave 1.7)
First iPhone 5 with several buttons set with both “off” and “on” icons. Saved configuration to dropbox.
Second iPhone 5 loaded configuration from same dropbox account. Everything copied over fine and works correctly.
iPad loaded configuration from same dropbox account. “When On” icons are not copied over and set. Everything else seems to look and work fine.
Very strange. There’s some weird differences in the way images are handled between iOS versions, but it should affect all images equally. I’ve tried to duplicate this by saving on an iPhone 5 on iOS 7, to an iPad 1 on iOS 5, but it works correctly.
Two things to check:
- Does the iPad actually have HomeWave 1.7 installed?
- Are the “when on” images shown on the iPad when you open the properties for one of these controls? If yes, try changing the image size in the control properties.
A potential issue is that you are going from a Retina screen to a regular one, and the size and scale of these images do not always carry over correctly. You may have to add the images again manually. Can you post the image files here please?
A third reload of the configuration from Dropbox fixed it. False alarm I guess.
