Bug in Forum - blocking users on Kindle Fire HD

Hi,

I am currently trying to evaluate to setup some HA in my house and installing a Vera.
While on the couch I’m browsing using my Kindle Fire HD, but unfortunately it looks like there’s a bug in the forum where I will after a couple of minutes get a message “You have been banned from this Forum. This Ban is not set to expire” - this will happen regardless of if I’m signed in or not and in order to get around it, I delete all cookies and then it works again for a while.

I believe this is a bug - maybe the forum is trying to detect a user agent and the Kindle is not in the list of known agents?

Could some admin of the forum look into that as it’s really quite annoying?

It’s really quite annoying having to clear my cookies every 10 or so minutes.

Hi Raladic,

This is a bug in simplemachines forum that have no fix, please take a look here : recurring problems with kindle and ipad users getting 'you are banned'. This is the only information I could find so far. I sorry to tell you this, but there is nothing we can do for you right now.
