I’m about to move to HomeSeer, mainly due to it’s ability to talk to me and work my phone. The decision maker for me is how awfully MCV has handled ui5. It brings little more than a, well, new ui, which I personally find distasteful but generally don’t care much about. HS Pro costs. $600. I am offering $600 to the developer/developers who can make Vera talk via both TTS and playing …wave files as well as integrating the Way2Call for things like announcing caller id. The playing of audio can be done as a plugin with an associated application running on a different os to actually preform the action.

I am currently running HomeSeer on a 30 day trial. I have already moved all of my devices and scenes to HS. By the end of the trial I will make the switch if no one steps up to the challenge.
MCV is all about looks it seems. HS is all about functionality with no looks. MCV should know that putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a pig.
