Because my VeraLite is in a continuous (rolling) reboot state, I can’t follow the procedure that calls for having both controllers on the LAN and swapping primaries. The VeraLite is essentially unusable. Is there any other way, other than adding everything (50+ devices) to the new controller? If I have to go that route, How do I exclude all of the devices when the controller that they are associated with is dead?
Maybe I should just tackle the rolling reboot issue and fall back to the VeraLite…
It’s pretty intuitive, but I haven’t done it, so I don’t wanna try to explain.
I am replying to suggest that you do a fresh install on the edge network. adding things one-by-one will make them much easier to troubleshoot, and I think would save you a lot of potential headaches. I did it over the course of a couple weeks (just b/c I was in no rush), one “room” at a time, and one kind of node at a time.
I have read somewhere around this forum about restoring backups to the new unit, even though it is not the same model… as long as it is on the same Fw UI you may have a chance at saving your time from a full rebuild.
