thanks - yeah, I did support a trouble ticket. The Tech Support link is at the top of the “Advanced” sub-menu. When i came back home tonight the device was mysteriously and joyfully working - at least as far as the access to menu options go.

I am still not able to find any of my other Z-Wave devices.
