I have a friend thinking about getting into H/A but one of his requirements is the ability to check the temp of his freezer. I’ve been checking out the temp sensors and they all seem to only read down to freezing. Any idea how to read the temps down below freezing?
“Everspring ST814 Z-Wave Temperature & Humidity Sensor” goes to -4F. You’d probably need another z-wave device pretty darn close to it to repeat its signal since it will be inside of a freezer??

The only thing I have read that may be worth a look is 1-wire temp sensors. They go down to about -50.
There is a plugin and it might be work investigating. You could potentially contact the plugin developer as they may be able assist with details.
