Best way to cycle Vera

My commands through Vera are taking about 10 times longer than normal today so I want to reboot vera, do I simply unplug? what is the proper way to reboot?

I unplug and replug mine frequently with no ill effects. Sometimes it even helps. Some folks actually put vera on a mechanical timer that kills the power once a day and then turns it back on.

My Vera is running at least two weeks without problems and any reboot.

I thought about a mechanical solution some months ago when stability and reliability were foreign words to Vera. But now I’m more concerned about usability and functions…

I’ve been running 1.0.979 since it’s release. No problems with Vera yet.

thanks for replies, I’m running 979 as well and never had a lockup on any version until now, yesterday when adding a sensor the Vera browser window locked up, I closed the browser and reopened and then things worked but took very much longer than normal to respond, I restarted Vera and had same issue, then I removed and replaced dongle (Ver 2.78 L:1) and that seemed to clear it up, unfortunately I left the site (which is not near me) and some hours later when I checked it online had the dreaded “Z-Wave:no Z-wave” guess I’ve joined the “locked up club” anyway I searched the forums for how to reset dongle next time I am onsite and not sure from the posts if there is a second button on the dongle besides the add and remove button (never really looked closely at it) is this the case? does one remove it press a button (other than the add remove buton) and then reinsert? if this fails is there a nuclear option for resetting from scratch?

There’s a little pin hole on the back if the dongle. Use a paper clip to press that, hold it for about 3-5 seconds.
