Battery Level shows a ? on both of my locks I have a schage and a kwikset . They both have values in the advanced section of the settings but the icon on the main mios page shows a battery with a ? in it.
Can anyone explain why this would happen? ???

The value being shown for battery level is stale–if you check the “battery date” value, it’s some number of days (maybe a week?) in the past. The question mark is the GUIs way of letting you know Vera has no certainty about the battery level.

The date is not readable by just looking at it! 1276475283 is what is displayed. My vera is also not holding the date or the time correctly! It runs for a few days and then needs to be reset. Totally unreliable! This thing has been problematic from the start! I have to leave on a trip overseas and it would have been nice to be able to rely on it to at least do the simple things such as turn lights on or off at certain times but even these things are beyond its capabilities. I am running as follows . “You are running the latest version: 1.1.1338” . You don’t need my opinion of this product at this time as I am sure it would get me expelled from this forum and this forum is the only redeeming part of the whole experience.
So that number is a Unix-style Epoch-date. You can plug it in to any number of calculators on the web and get back what it means in your time zone.

And you’re right–your system resets are mucking things up. That date is back in June of 2010.

You can also use a forum tag of [tt][nobbc][time]1276475283[/time][/nobbc][/tt] to cause it to come out in a readable format like:
[time]1276475283[/time]
which is basically indicating that it was last sampled a long time ago, adding to the idea that your Vera clock is not being kept accurate. Probably best to chase that with the support team, so they can help work out why.
