Basic question on thermometer

Hi all,

Really a basic question:

I have a boiler that has already a thermometer mounted on it where I choose the temperature for the whole house

I would like to control it with the Vera.

What should I do? Can I add a trance or wifi thermometer? And then I how can I interface with my boiler?

Where does it measure temperature? Surface temperature? Ambient? If it’s ambient temperature… just use a thermostat, powered with 24VAC. Intermatic CA8900 Z-wave thermostats are $40.
