[quote=“parkerc, post:28, topic:175444”]UPDATE - surfing the net I can across some posts that had the same issue as me when I tried to do a ls command whilst in the new NAS share (Error was - “can’t open ‘.’: Value too large for defined data type”)
They suggested you add nounix, noserverino to the mount options, making it.
mount -t cifs -o user=admin,pass=[password],nounix,noserverino //192.168.1.101/backup /nas
So i did this and I can now do a ls call on Vera and it will show ma all the Datamine files on my NAS share and i can also do a mkdir and create files too.[/quote]
This worked for me too, solving the ‘Value too large’ problem.
My ‘NAS’ is actually an Apple Time Capsule.
Thanks to all for sharing this.
Onwards and upward!
Hi guys. It seems I have to ask your help to troubleshoot my datamine+nas experience.
I did all the steps mentioned previously to mount my NAS share and I can get access to mounted folder (i copied files from usb stick which was previously mounted)
root@MiOS_35108849:/dataMine# ls
#recycle Notifications [R2312].txt Notifications [R2315].txt
Notifications [R2306].txt Notifications [R2313].txt dataMineConfig.json
Notifications [R2308].txt Notifications [R2314].txt database
but dataMine sees 0 monitored devices =(
if the online status is green, then your datamine installation works.
if you see 0 channels that could probably mean that you have not enabled logging on the variables that you would like to monitor.
you can refer to the help file for datamine or some more postings on this forum how to enable logging on the selected variables.
