Hi
How do you set up a connection via a Huawei E173 3G modem?
my build is
~# cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.4.37.9 (gcc version 3.4.6 (OpenWrt-2.0)) #143 Tue Jul 6 09:13:02 PDT 2010
When I plug it in I get this from dmesg
hub.c: new USB device 00:03.1-1.2, assigned address 5 Vendor: HUAWEI Model: Mass Storage Rev: 2.31 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 USB device connected to the SCSI subsystem WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 5 Vendor: HUAWEI Model: SD Storage Rev: 2.31 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 sda: Unit Not Ready, sense: Info fld=0x0, Current 00:00: sns = f0 2 ASC=3a ASCQ= 0 Raw sense data:0xf0 0x00 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x3a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status = 1, message = 00, host = 0, driver = 08 Info fld=0x0, Current sd00:00: sns = f0 2 ASC=3a ASCQ= 0 Raw sense data:0xf0 0x00 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x3a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 sda : block size assumed to be 512 bytes, disk size 1GB. sda: Write Protect is off /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0 I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0 unable to read partition table USB device connected to the SCSI subsystem WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 5and I never got a /dev/ttyUSBx entry.
