Hey guys, I have a chicken coop, and would love to be able to set vera to automatically close and open the door. The door swings 180*. I was thinking some type of handicap door opener. Has anyone done something like this?

I think the 180 door swing might be the problem. Most auto door openers like handicap door is like 90 degrees.

How much do you want to spent?
Does it need to be water proof?
Does it need to be battery or do you have high or low voltage close by?
Pretty much if you can get the door to work electronically then it can be added to z-wave after. I have not seen a z-wave door opener. But a MIMOlite or appliance modual setup say way as to open a garage door would work if you first got the door to open with a normal kit.
Maybe even a singe gate opener arm like this.
