I have the Honeywell TH8320 Z-Wave touchscreen thermostat and it works great by itself and with the AutHomation app. My thermostat is set to a 7 day schedule internally. I noticed that if I change the temperature on the thermostat itself it goes into temporary hold mode and then changes to the appropriate temperature at the next scheduled set point. However, if I change the temperature in AutHomation it goes into a permanent hold mode and the thermostat never changes temperature again unless I put it back on schedule at the thermostat unit itself. I dont know if it was designed this way on purpose but is there a way around this as I prefer the thermostat to reset itself on schedule at the appropriate time?
This is interesting. Does it also do this from the dashboard?
Haven’t tried that. I will test it out tonight.
I tried it from the web panel and it does indeed reset itself back on schedule. So it seems to only be AutHomation.
I find that very surprising …
I’m gonna try it again just to make absolutely sure I’m not making anything up. (also my AutHomation app was just updated). But I did try it more than once before reporting the issue. Will report back again.
The thermostat controls in the app use the standard controls that are used in all of the z-wave thermostats. Using the controls in the app should be exactly the same when using them in Vera’s UI interface.
