Did you get this figured out yet?
Note that it’s best to actually pair the device BEFORE you put it into the door frame… Take it over to Vera and ensure it pairs using the Wizard. I made the mistake of trying to pair mine with the dongle, but as the FAQ says, that won’t work. Best to pair at the Vera unit itself… so either drag Vera over to the door or remove the lock and take it to Vera.
Then, as for the factory reset, that should work as decribed in the manual:
o Remove Battery
o Press and release # Key
o Reconnect Battery (it will light + beep)
o After lock is dark/silent, you have 10 secs to press and HOLD the # key until green light + beep
If the battery doesn’t light when you reconnect it, you could have one of two issues:
Low Battery
Wire between front panel and back battery panel could be damaged or disconnected
o ensure the connection is good
o ensure you didn’t pinch the wire when screwing lock back unit to frame.
Note that if you forgot your default codes, they’re on a yellow sticker on the back side of the lock unit. (Another good reason to remove from the door, if you forgot them)
You probably already know: # 0 goes into “enrollment mode” where you can Exclude or Include…
Please post an update if you’ve got it figured out or if you still have issues.
Well, were pretty limited in choices down under, but I got schlages LE162 motorised deadbolt keypad lock delivered today.
I would have sworn the code worked when I first tried it, but, I must admit I didn’t pay alto of attention as I wasn’t anticipating any problems… so… I tried to pair it up with the vera3, but to no avail… tried to uninclude it, but also, to no avail…
So, as per instructions, factory reset and then try again… only factory reset doesn’t work…
Instructions say disconnect batteries,
Press and release # key
Reconnect battery and weight for led to turn off
Press and release # and when led goes green reset is complete… only the led doesn’t light when battery is reconnected, nor does it light after pressing #…
In searching online, the web seems to suggest using the schlage key which is non existant on this lock. The user codes go red after being entered as if to suggest an incorrect code, and then the keypad becomes un responsive until pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the internal panel.
The PC Code errors out after the first 4 digits as it thinks im entering a uc code, so cant do anything there either…
Is there something obvious I’m missing???
