I would maintain my stable Vera 2 and start working on VEra 3 UI5…
Thank you!

You can load a backup of your vera 2 onto your vera 3 to keep your network. This will allow you get upand running faster. You can only have one primary controller for each device. Going the backup/restore route on vera 3 will bypass this.
Thanks! then what should I do with plug in installed? how can I update with the one in the app store?
thanks for the great support

You’ll have to install the plugins from scratch as they will most likely be newer than the ones you have on vera 2. I would assume your vera 2 is UI4. I forgot to mention, when doing a restore on Vera 3, be sure to select restore z-wave dongle.
In this way all my device will be working in UI5 after backup without the need to repair?
Thanks again ![]()
Correct. When restoring a backup and selecting to restore the z-wave dongle, you’ll keep your routing of your z-wave devices. I also forgot to mention that when doing a restore, if you get a no z-wave dongle message on Vera 3, go into the z-wave settings and under the zwave port section you’ll need to change /dev/tty0 to /dev/ttyS0.
