Surfingman’s thread http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=7052.0 inspired me to try and figure out if I can change the day/night setting by simply going to a url.
It turns out I can!
Night mode:
http://[your_camera_ip]/param.cgi?action=update&ImageSource.I0.DayNight.ManualStatus=night
Day mode:
http://[your_camera_ip]/param.cgi?action=update&ImageSource.I0.DayNight.ManualStatus=day
Here’s a URL to get a bunch more settings:
http://[your_camera_ip]/param.cgi?action=list&group=*
This spits out a bunch of parameters you can change. There are a lot though, and changing some might cause problems. Be careful!
The camera’s auto switching between day/night mode is a little crappy, so I’m going to use this info to automatically control it myself with light values from an hsm100.
