As an Installer with Multiple Clients How to Correctly Set Up Edge

I am sure this has been covered but I can not find anything with a search.

I was wondering what the best way to set up the Edge as an installer with multiple clients on UI7?
I am referring to how to set up the new device with you as an installer to have full admin rights and then have the family you are installing the unit for as admins or lesser users.
Here is the kicker, I would like to have the whole family (multiple family users, admin or lesser) be able to get notification, emails, texts and or push notifications.
I would also like to assure the family that they can easily remove me if they feel uncomfortable with me having access to their new Edge.

How are you other installers doing this?

Individual Vera accounts, then add the owners’ emails and “permission” level as desired.

I believe that Vera Ltd. has a method of central management for large scale customers like service providers with thousands of subscribers that makes all the emails and accounts above unnecessary. In those scenarios, the provider replaces Vera Ltd. for storage and tunnel termination.

I tested the (variable-) with gmail and it did not work. I got a bounceback from gmail saying it permanently failed.
I also tried the gmail + trick after the prefix and Vera does not accept the + in the email address.
Your idea is great. Does it work for you? Is there an option in gmail to make this work?

I was just providing example email addresses and I forgot that gmail does not permit hyphens.

I use my own domain with unique addresses that go to a catchall mailbox or to an individual mailbox in some cases.

Unique email accounts definitely work. I’ve never had reliable success with the email address + operator, though usually the issue is web forms not accepting them as valid email addresses.
