Same here. Don’t suppose it makes a difference, but PLEG was installed and working fine before the patch. But I only installed PLTS after flashing new firmware… Both are now broken. Not sure if that rules anything in/out… but either way, it gave me more to say then “me too”
Has anyone heard something from MCV ??
I would expect an reaction and a forecast on when we could expect a fix.
I was busy installing new things, and now i can’t continue
I’d like to get some info
Or am i the only one who thinks like this ?
lol I came to this subsection of the forum because… none of my PLEG events seem to be working
Yes, latest MCV firmware.
Another month, another step forward, a few more steps… backwards.
I think we all secretly love debugging and continuously tinkering.
If I wanted everything to just work, all the time, with no ability to modify and do cool stuff, but the simple things always worked… I’d just buy a Mac.
I have not upgraded to 1.7.1419 yet, am still on 1.7.1248 on vera edge and suddenly not able to add triggers. Adding other inputs still work. Under “Please select a device”, it will not let me select any devices even though they are displayed. It has been a 4-6 weeks since the last time I tried so not sure exactly when the problem started since then but the only change I can see in my Vera/app updates is the autoupdate of the PLC to 7.48.
Thanks, I wondered as much. I may just go ahead and try updating the firm where as from reading the comments on the update it seems the only problem I might have expected to see was the PLEG issue.
So, i had the same problem as well. No diveces where shown in the drop down box in the trigger menu ( only the room names).
So i thought mayby i can manually input the triggers in the advanced tap → variables → triggers. I coppied an existings trigger and pasted that (note you have to enable “switch to input type text”), changed the trigger name and device number and clicked outside the box and reloaded luup. Then when i wanted to check if the device was edited to the trigger list (old triggers where still visable, altough not correctly) i saw that it was and when i clicked the drop down menu all de devices where visable again.
When i checked other pleg and plts devices the devices where viseable there as well.
I added a couple of triggers in different pleg and plts devices and every thing is running ok now.
I actually followed the initial advice by Richard and went back to a backup prior to the change to PLC 7.48 and got 7.47 back then unchecked autoupdate. Everything works fine again with firmware 7.0.9.
My existing stuff works (I freaked out initially because notign was working – turns out the UI upgrade disabled all of my sensors), so I can wait for a fix, whatever… in meantime, will try what Richard suggests visavis the two-step.
Richard,
for those of us that haven’t been doing any changes of late to our system/devices reverting back to older backups is a solution. The problem is that I seem to fall in the other camp where I’ve been doing significant changes for the last week and all my recent changes would be lost any other suggestions? Mike
