Anyone Updates Vera to 1.7.1419 - Pleg cant see inputs

Hi

Has anyone updated Vera and found that Pleg cant now see any Inputs?

Since the update all the inputs are now missing in all my pleg devices and Pleg cant see them

I have rebooted the control and it hasnt resolved the issue and i think its a Pleg issue from the Vera Edge update

Thanks
N

There is a problem in the latest release.
Waiting for feedback from MCV.

Thanks Richard.

If I can do anything to help… Not sure what but let me know

Thanks
N

Eek. same. PLEG is having troubles loading here. Remind me to check the forums before firmware upgrade next time.

I’m having the same issue here. At first I thought it was user error since this is my first time trying to use it.

Same here. Don’t suppose it makes a difference, but PLEG was installed and working fine before the patch. But I only installed PLTS after flashing new firmware… Both are now broken. Not sure if that rules anything in/out… but either way, it gave me more to say then “me too”

Has anyone heard something from MCV ??
I would expect an reaction and a forecast on when we could expect a fix.
I was busy installing new things, and now i can’t continue
I’d like to get some info
Or am i the only one who thinks like this ?

lol I came to this subsection of the forum because… none of my PLEG events seem to be working

Yes, latest MCV firmware.

Another month, another step forward, a few more steps… backwards.

I think we all secretly love debugging and continuously tinkering.

If I wanted everything to just work, all the time, with no ability to modify and do cool stuff, but the simple things always worked… I’d just buy a Mac.

I have not upgraded to 1.7.1419 yet, am still on 1.7.1248 on vera edge and suddenly not able to add triggers. Adding other inputs still work. Under “Please select a device”, it will not let me select any devices even though they are displayed. It has been a 4-6 weeks since the last time I tried so not sure exactly when the problem started since then but the only change I can see in my Vera/app updates is the autoupdate of the PLC to 7.48.

The PLC 7.48 may NOT work before UI 1.7.11 I did not test to see if the fix was backward compatible.

You can restore from a backup before the update … then turn of the auto update for now.

Thanks, I wondered as much. I may just go ahead and try updating the firm where as from reading the comments on the update it seems the only problem I might have expected to see was the PLEG issue.

Same problem here:

PLEG 7.47: Descriptions for triggers are undefined, and Edit actions does nothing.
PLC: 7.48

Running Vera firmware: 1.7.690

Wondering… can I downgrade either PLEG or Vera to get working (UI7)?

Just want to know if I should hold tight or revert back.

So, i had the same problem as well. No diveces where shown in the drop down box in the trigger menu ( only the room names).

So i thought mayby i can manually input the triggers in the advanced tap → variables → triggers. I coppied an existings trigger and pasted that (note you have to enable “switch to input type text”), changed the trigger name and device number and clicked outside the box and reloaded luup. Then when i wanted to check if the device was edited to the trigger list (old triggers where still visable, altough not correctly) i saw that it was and when i clicked the drop down menu all de devices where visable again.

When i checked other pleg and plts devices the devices where viseable there as well.
I added a couple of triggers in different pleg and plts devices and every thing is running ok now.

Plc version: 7.48
Vera firmware: 1.7.690

Mayby this helps for some of you as well.

So is that what users are doing?
Restoring back to there previous vera version?

Thanks
N

Folks … after you do updates (and any time you see something strange in Vera)

You need to do the Vera Two Step

  1. Reload or Reboot Vera
  2. Reload your browser (F5)

I actually followed the initial advice by Richard and went back to a backup prior to the change to PLC 7.48 and got 7.47 back then unchecked autoupdate. Everything works fine again with firmware 7.0.9.

My existing stuff works (I freaked out initially because notign was working – turns out the UI upgrade disabled all of my sensors), so I can wait for a fix, whatever… in meantime, will try what Richard suggests visavis the two-step.

Richard,
for those of us that haven’t been doing any changes of late to our system/devices reverting back to older backups is a solution. The problem is that I seem to fall in the other camp where I’ve been doing significant changes for the last week and all my recent changes would be lost any other suggestions? Mike

So, PLEG/PLC have a recent issue, and I need to do a restore…What date do I need to select, how far back do I need to correct my PLEG issues?

I will de select auto update. My Firmware has not changed, nor will it change until MCV releases stable version.

PLEG 7.47: Descriptions for triggers are undefined, and Edit actions does nothing.
PLC: 7.48

Running Vera firmware: 1.7.1181 and refuse to update their firmware until this community blesses the results.

What is causing this issue, did PLC update succeed, but PLEG failed, and the reason for these issues is PLC and PLEG are no longer in SYNC ?

Thanks

I’m on UI 7.0.9 and the same PLC/PLEG versions as MrAutomate.

I can’t add Triggers as input either but Properties works fine. I can edit Actions.

Is it possible to downgrade PLC manually?
