It looks like the DSC Alexor will integrate/talk with vera now. Is this true now with the TL265 - DSC T-Link Internet-Intranet Alarm Communicator for Alexor -
Can my z-wave quickset front door lock turn the alarm on or off when I unlock the door. Will any security system do this?
Does anyone know if Alexor will in fact work with vera? This is the only discussion on Alexor compatibility and it’s vague - http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,13480.msg100444.html#msg100444
Unless somebody can in fact make a plugin that interfaces with a T-link board, then you are out of luck with the Alexor!
So yes with the other plugins, you can infact disarm the alarm once a PIN is entered at a lock; I do this with my inner garage door (not sure I’d want to do this with my front door).
Do you have a TL265? If you do then can you arm or disarm from a local web interface perhaps? If so then it should also be quite easy to disarm at least using a scene, and without a plugin! Try some experimentation to see if you can do it directly from a browser from a specific URL!
I don’t have the system yet and I’ll start off by saying that I live in a place where my door could be unlocked year round and not have a problem. It is one of the best islands/neighborhoods there is. I will not have a siren installed, a silent strobe would be okay though. My most expensive asset is my boat at the dock outside, so I’m not worried about protecting anything major. With that said, I just liked the ease of installing the alexor wifi system and that the keypad is separate from the wifi motherboard. I was also thinking about getting it if it was easily integrable with vera since I just got the vera3 kit on amazon. I’m thinking, fully-integrated, or just stick with z-wave stuff. I know a z-wave door sensor can be programmed into a scene, what about an alexor system? Doors lock, lights out, and alarm activates from bed?
As mentioned I think this would communicate with vera:

Ideas that explain further if you are interested or need more info:
I’d like to have access to the sensors and the entry keypad with vera for scenes e.g. open the front door with a code, and security/ cameras deactivate, stair light turns on, door locks when I turn the three way switch off at the top of the stairs and the alarm sets to “at home” (motion sensors and camera motion sensors off). Open the rear garage door garage light turns on and my vera “I’m home” signal turns off the security system since I don’t have a z-wave door lock back there. Or a lot of other options easily integrated with vera scenes. Alexor key pad set vera cameras to deactivate. when to trigger cameras and when not to integrated with security motion sensors, when to text me vs if I’m home, you name it. I just don’t want to deal with unlocking the door, then type in a security system code, then turn the lights on, lock the door, then arm the system to “at home” then turn other lights on, adjust the heat, turn on this and that. I’d like to unlock the door and it takes care of everything. With all z-wave devices I can do things discussed, and just have a scene remote screwed to the wall to turn off security cameras and text messages etc, or mount a tablet to the wall.
Something to consider is that you can now use the Alexor wireless keypads with the Power series panels:

good idea. I will look into that
If you have a look at the first few posts against the other thread this is what we suggest, due to there was limited available under the scope provided; including the Alexor which at this point isn’t able to be integrated. Basically you could make it rather invisible depending on where you put it and even integrate with your telephone system to use as keypads if desired.
