Anyone had issues with Vera battery you received?

So here’s my story:

 1. The battery’s been charging for about 2 days now - still the green light haven’t come on.

 2. so I un-plugged the battery and checked the voltage on its terminals by connecting the attached cable - and it shows 3.6V???

Goodness - so I contacted Amazon regarding a properly working battery. I’m wondering if anyone else had similar behavior with the battery?

So when I started with Vera, I had a long extension power cable and had Vera setup as wi-fi client. So that was okay for me as long as I could take vera with me as far as the extension cord would go. - So Now I need to hook it up to battery - and…defective battery.

Here’s a thread that had some additions a few months back.

I never use the battery, but I believe you have to switch it on and get a green LED on the power adapter to show it’s charging.
Power Adapters: This package includes 2 power adapters. The one with the red and green lights on the back connects to the black battery pack only. The other power adapter, with the black grips on the side, is to connect to Vera.

Green Light: In the enclosed Quick Start Guide it says to look for a green light on the battery pack’s power pack. Ignore this; some of the battery packs will arrive fully charged so the green light will not light up. The green light indicates the battery pack is charging, and it goes out when the battery pack is fully charged.
Thanks oTi:

So I tried to turn the switch on, and let it for charging - After a while the green light is ON and the voltage now measures around 9.6V.
I wonder if the charging should be done with the switch in its ON position?? Not sure.

Update: So after oTI’s tip, I think the switch should be in it’s ON position in the battery while charging. Now I’m getting 11.4V.
