I currently have 3 vera 2 units(one still in the box) Are there going to be any upgrade rebates for upgrading to vera3? :![]()
This question has been asked by another user on this forum yesterday. Word from MCV is that they might do something a few months from now. No definite date.

So what do you guys do with your Vera2’s?
eBay? Myself have 2 of them, curious of my options…
Will it blend? Catharsis?.. 8)
I sold mine on Amazon although I like @guesseds idea! ![]()
Yeah, amazon won’t help us here, in the wild white north… Perhaps snow is too deep…
I like @guessed idea too. Which one goes first?
I still have my v1 in service, it does nothing but give me an on demand reboot of a newer vera, you might devote one to that, still would trade up my vera 2 if I can ever get back all the functions in UI5 that I have in UI4 ![]()
I gave mine to a co-worker to get his feet wet.

Vera 3 runs the house; 1.5.346.
Vera Lite is currently assigned to isolated DSC/2DS testing; 1.5.374.
Vera 2 is for development / playing / testing / investigating / whatever comes up on the forum. It was running 1.1.1245 the other day!
Send your Vera’s my way I guess.

hahaha, that may be a bit general though, the ones affecting my setup are (yes) stability, and full function of trane thermostat, even the last beta version of UI4 had lost one of the trane modes and I’m not really sure if all modes which were once functional have been restored, I don’t use cameras but have heard several issues with those
Just got an email from Micasaverde! Funny that I haven’t seen an official announcement on the forum yet.

Does this offer extend to Australia/New Zealand Vera2?
+1 for Australia
Since the Z-wave daughter boards are supposedly identical, you might be able to swap them, and then send the new daugterboard back on the old Vera.
All without opening the Veras, of course, because that would void your warranty…
I am really tempted by the upgrade / trade in offer. While I don’t have a lot of zwave devices NOW, that doesn’t mean it will stay that way. I have a vera2 just upgraded to ui5 and its working fine, but the idea of half my money back on a vera3 when I send in a vera2 is a deal I may have to take advantage of!
First thought is, can you back up config of a vera2 on ui5 and restore it to a vera3? There has to be a migration path. I really don’t want to redo both my vera2s from scratch if I do the upgrade to vera3
Hello,
Yes there is a process to migrate from Vera 2 to Vera 3. See http://faq.mios.com/content/1/35/en/how-to-upgrade-from-_unit_name_-2-to-_unit_name_-3.html
(Also a gentle reminder that the Vera3 hardware cannot operate in bridged WAN-LAN mode, while Vera2 can. Moving from Vera2 to Vera3 is not an “upgrade” in every respect.)
