I am running a Vera 3 with 1.6.641 Firmware with the BE469NX lock, Main 5_8 Firmware. I have been very successful so far in getting the pairing correct, setting up the lock and running scenes and events. I then started on the notifications. Again success in the lock reporting lock and unlock status and sending a txt and email. But no joy for Bad PIN or PIN Code #. I’ve spent hours reading through this forum and I have tried all that has been presented. I did enter the PIN Code index number (0,1,2,etc) correctly. Still no luck. And just to be complete I entered every PIN format I was told not to enter (3, #3, *3, the PIN Code). All failed. So what am I doing wrong? I am assuming all is right with my Z Wave network as far as distance and signal strength since the lock does work in scenes and events and does send the notifications for unlock and lock. All you Vera gurus out there …any advice?
Well, I called Vera Control about my issue regarding not getting some notifications from the lock. I was told that the issue is with U16 and was recommended a downgrade to U15. I’m not doing that since this was just me experimenting with Vera 3 capabilities. But if this can help anyone else, here is the email I got from Vera Control:
"I?ve discussed with our developers and was able to reproduce your issue in our offices and they are currently working on it. During my tests I saw that the Schlage door-locks work correctly on the previous version of software called UI5 and I would suggest that you downgrade to it until this issue is fixed. If you would like to do that please create a backup from My Systems > Backups > and hit the ?Create backup? button from the upper right corner. Due to the differences between the two software versions the back-ups made on UI6 are not compatible with UI5 so you will have to reset the unit to factory defaults when downgrading. This means that all your changes will be lost however all the devices will still be paired with Vera and will try to reconfigure after the upgrade is complete. If you would like to procede please follow the steps below. The downgrade has to be made from the same location.
To downgrade your unit please follow these instructions :
-
go to Advanced settings
-
then go to Setup and select Firmware
-
and copy paste the URL below in the firmware field and hit ?download?.
http://download.mios.com/rt3662_betafirmware/rt3662_Luup_ui5-1.5.622-en-mios.squashfs
-when prompted select to downgrade your unit with ?Restore to defaults settings.?
When using UI5 you will have to create a different account on our previous web portal at cp.mios.com and use it to connect remotely to the unit.
You?ll also need to use the previous version of the mobile app called ?Vera mobile? which is available for iOS and Android."
I hope this helps someone.
Well it explains what I have been running into. Thanks for the posting that. I can stop researching. As much as I want the capability I am not going to downgrade the interface either, I’ll wait for the update.
