The current Paradox alarm plugin uses the PRT3 interface board, which will only integrate the EVO and DGP series Paradox panels (via their wired COMBUS interface)

Thank you for that info, Guessed. ![]()
It’s worth checking the actual board. Paradox seem to use the term Magellan both for freestanding wireless alarm units (look like all-in-one units with Keypad and the logic board) as well as the wireless accessory to EVO and Digiplex boards.
The latter is what I have, a Digiplex DGP-848 board, in a metal box, with a Magellen RTX3 next to it in a white plastic box to handle the handful of wireless sensors that I have around the house (mostly for HA)
Good point!
I’m gonna have a look inside the box during this weekend to find what’s exactly in. ![]()
All the sensors are wired and the keypads are the K10H.
I am looking at a Paradox wired system from my local electrical supplier.
In terms of physically hooking it up to the Vera via USB, is this a temporary or permanent connection? Just thinking of putting them in two different spots in the house.
thanks
It’s only the PRT3 that would need to be “near” Vera, so you can cable it with USB to connect it to Vera. You use standard 4-wire alarm system cabling between the PRT3 and the [EVO] Panel itself. This is the same wire that’s used for the Keypads, and it can extend for long distances without problems (unlike standard USB Cabling).
