All Z-Wave devices disappeared on Vera 2

My Vera 2 (UI4) missed a scene yesterday. I rebooted the device but as a result, none of the Z-Wave devices was there anymore. Cameras and virtual devices are still there. I restored the latest backup, no change. I restored the .tar file from cp.mios, no change.

It looks like the Z-Wave chip is there.

Unfortunately the MIOS service does not react…

Any ideas?

When you restored from backup did you check the box to restore zwave dongle? Just a heads up there are a few threads about this topic. If you do a search there may be some answers to help you.

No, I didn’t check it. The support restored something on my device last weekend. Since then everything works well again.

Sounds like they restored your zwave chip to your previous backup.

i just lost all of mine too and i couldn’t reload a back up. I found it odd 2 days after the 1/2 price upgrade expired i get a major crash and i’ve been good for 2 years.
I’m giving ui5 a retry as posted before I’ve had a bad experience with it

And here George’s answer on what went wrong and how to fix it:

…your unit lost it’s z-wave home id, probably during a power outage. I’ve added a fix for this issue from our latest firmware versions which have a new user interface called UI5. This should prevent this from happening again in the future.
Also this can be fixed by just restoring a working back-up for your unit and by checking to “Restore Dongle Firmware” when you restore it .
