All Z-Wave Devices are set to Poll every 10800?

Hi

I’ve just noticed that all my zwave devices have their poll value set to 10800?

I fear I may have done this accidently a while back to just one device, but I’m curious if all vera poll targets are linked in someway

Is 10800 on all of them normal?

Are they all battery operated devices??

Yes they are, good call !!

The only non battery one I have is a dimmer and checking that one, it’s set to 60?

So, does a poll rule/setting get applied to them all? As in other posts form the same products they suggest their poll level is less?

Hi parkerc,
The high poll level you see for your battery operated devices is normal. The interval is usually higher to safe battery (but you can change this of course).

I am not sure what you mean by “So, does a poll rule/setting get applied to them all?”
Under the main vera settings (Z-Wave Settings) you can specify a general poll interval. Lets say 60 seconds. All you devices will be polled according this interval. HOWEVER, if you go into the individual device settings and under “poll this device AT MOST every x seconds” you can set a higher value here (like your battery operated devices).

This prevents the device from being polled too often (it overrides the general polling frequency) and helps conserving battery.

If you have a scene programmed to poll devices the device will still be polled automatically and according to your scenes.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Flo

The Zwave settings show what I assume are still the standard settings. - which are listed in order (under Poll nodes in UI5) they’re 20, 10, 60 and the last one is 30 seconds.

The value 10800, which I think I set in error on one device does seem to have replicated around the other battery operated devices.
