I have been searching and thinking about a way to be alerted with there are severe weather warnings but have not found a way (other than the phone or weather radio)… I would like to have an audible alert using the Sonos plugin and depending on time of day turn on a few lights - the issue is I don’t know how to trigger the scene. There is a weather plugin but it seems anemic in the weather warnings that can be used as triggers. I am specifically wanting to have a trigger for tornado warnings. Any ideas, maybe something I have not come across?
If you are in the US, you can register on the National Weather Service website to get an email for Severe Weather.
You then have to use the email trigger to send instructions to your Sonos, a sounder, lights flashing or any other device you wish to affect.
