Alarm System - Status without iPhone or Browser?

Hi,

I created my alarm system with Vera. With the iPhone App or the browser I can check the status.

Now I would like to find a way to some physically solution to check the status as a standard alarm system, like a a red led box outside the door.

How can I do it? How can I manage a led box (with battery maybe).

So when I arrive at home with packs under the rain, I don’t have to take out my iphone and checks.
I know that I can stick an ipod touch outside my door. It’s cool, but guess also for somebody else… :slight_smile:

While it isn’t weatherproof, I use Leviton zone controllers in my bedroom to indicate the status of my door locks (red=secure, green=open).

Do you not have an entry delay, that will give you some time to disarm after opening a door? Most alarms would give 30-60 seconds before going off, to give the user time to put packages/bags down, and disarm.
