After reading all the posts about the GE 45600 remote I have a question

Is there a battery powered hand held remote (not a phone) that works with the veralite? My 45600 works for lights, but only sends a pulse for appliance modules. Reading all the old posts here it looks like a no go.
Sorry if this has been ask a thousand times, but I can’t find anything on this forum.
Also - is there a better forum for new-new-new-newbies?

I guess no response means NO! Bummer. I had high hopes for the vera system, but without and easy way to turn a lamp on or off after a scheduled event won’t work for me. I am used to X10 and when the lamp goes out and i stay up late I can turn it back on with the remote, or if I go to bed early I can turn it off early… to bad no one make this simple device that works with Veralite. Seems like this would be a no brainer to me. I do love the reliability of the system, not to be found in X10.

I use an Intermatic remote and it works well.

I have successfully used the 45600 for both light and appliance modules. I did have to patch around a Vera bug. Search and you should find the appropriate topics.

beachboync (Bob), any chance you can post the work around? I have the 45600 and it isn’t working for me, I can get it to turn scenes on and off but if I turn on scene 8 for example It also turns on scene 1 too. Why would the trigger containing only scene 8 turn on scene 1 too? Seems to turn off the correct scene. As posted elsewhere, MCV doesn’t seem to support this unit under it guarantee of compatibility.
I even tried to remove the unused scenes from the 45600 using the setup till it blinks twice and then delete, scene, and scene number. Any other direction to go??
