AEOTEC Micro Smart Dimmer and 2 wire lighting system

i purchased a couple of those dimmers for use in Europe, but I was not aware that the require 3 wires and light installations here are only 2 wires! Is there any way to make these work with 2 wires? (there is no ground wire in the box either).

You could install the modules in or near the light fixture where there must be a Neutral. Then you could use the existing two-wire switch cable and switch for the low-voltage control (after disconnecting them from the mains power).

So we meet again ;D

Thanks, but the lights are in the ceiling and I would have to open up the walls to run the lines to the boxes. I think I’ll need to get fibaro …

Thanks, but the lights are in the ceiling...

I once fixed a similar problem in X10 days by poking the module up through the hole in the ceiling where the cables came down. I’m not recommending this, mind, but it is one possibility.

I think I'll need to get fibaro ...

Now that is a good idea. The FGD-211 works very happily on a two-wire system. If your lights are LED or CFl, also get a Fibaro Bypass (FGB-001).
