Aeon Labs Mutlisensor: stop constant movement checking

I have an Aeon Labs Multisensor succesfully installed. Motion detection is working, and triggers the Vera to turn on the light.
Motion timeout is set to 30 seconds.

My setup (at least I thought):

  • Multisensor registers movement → sends command to Vera → waits 30 seconds and be available for new movement
  • on the Vera a timer of 240 seconds starts, and is restarted everytime the Multisensor sends new movement
  • after 240 seconds the light turns off

Now the strange thing is, when in the room, and constantly moving, after the 240 second timer the light turns off. Making movements will not turn it on.
I think the problem is that the Multisensor restarts it’s 30 seconds timeout, whenever it detects new movement. Thus only after not seeing movement for 30 seconds, it sends the ‘untripped’ status to Vera.

Is this expected behaviour, and if yes, what’s the workaround? ???

How have you configured the motion sensor to turn on the light?

I have an Aeon Labs motion sensor, and I use it as a PLEG trigger. Motion turns the light on. Nothing happens when the motion detector resets… so I don’t know why your light turns off.
