Aeon Labs Multi-Sensor DSB05-ZWEU neighbors on VERA EDGE

Hi Guys,
I’ve read a few topics on this device and there is an old one from march 2014 http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=24105.0.

To start with, the multi sensors worked fine on the vera lite running UI5.
I’ve followed the advice in the above post (bringing the vera edge to the sensor rather than taking the sensor to the vera edge so as the neighbours would be configured correctly and making sure setting the configuration settings are set as follows:
3-Motion timeout (1-15300 seconds) set to 60
4-PIR enabled (0=no 1=yes) set to 1
5-PIR command (1=basic set 2=sensor report) set to 2
UI7 added the device (device number 118) and shows the 4 sensors correctly but the problem is, the device will not work unless it is close to the Vera Edge controller (i.e. direct communications with device 1).
I’ve checked the sensor settings and it is saying that it has lots of Neighbors (1,7,10,12,16,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,31,33,34,35)
so I have no idea why it shouldnt work.
Has anyone experienced this? and moreover does anyone know of a solution?
Cheers!

In my opinion, the neighbors array is virtually useless for troubleshooting purposes. IF it is accurate, we still have no idea how reliable a connection between the device and any of its neighbors is, whether the neighbors can communicate with anything else, etc.

Just to clarify my understanding. Your device worked fine for you under UI5? Your device(all sensors) works properly when close(but greater than 5 feet) to Vera? If the answer to both of these is yes, then it sounds like a routing issue.

Have you healed the network with the device awake? Or at least healed the network and given it overnight to figure itself out?

The devices work reliably within 5 feet of vera in as much as when the PIR detects movement the three grey bars on the device screen turn red and after 30 seconds they turn back to grey. If during this period you move the sensor away >5 feet then the status does not return to grey. I healed the network yesterday and left vera overnight before posting to see if healing would fix the issue but unfortunately it didn’t. This morning the device had the following alert ‘Can’t Detect Device’ but moving the device to <5 feet and pressing ‘configure node right now’ and waking up the sensor by pressing the button removed the alert. Obviously moving the sensor back to its design position will cause the error to occur again.

I can not be 100% sure that the vera lite running UI5 was 100% stable, I do seem to recall having some communication issues.
